The Judgment

Return. Success. Going out and coming in without error. Friends come without blame. The way returns, and after seven days comes return.

The Image

Thunder within the earth — the first yang line returns at the bottom. The winter solstice. The ancient kings closed the passes during the solstice and let the land rest.

Interpretation

After the darkness of Splitting Apart comes the Return. A single yang line appears at the bottom — the first stirring of new life after winter's darkest point. This is the turning point, the moment when decline gives way to growth. Don't rush it. The new energy is fragile and needs time to strengthen. Rest, recover, and allow the natural renewal to take hold.

Advice

The tide is turning in your favor. A new beginning stirs beneath the surface. Rest and let it grow naturally — don't force the pace. This is a time of gentle recovery and the return of hope.
