I Ching Oracle

The Book of Changes — 3,000 years of Chinese wisdom. Cast three coins six times to build your hexagram and receive guidance from one of humanity's oldest divination systems.

Focus your mind on your question. When you are ready, cast the coins. Three coins are tossed six times to build your hexagram from bottom to top.

How the I Ching Works

The Coin Method

Three coins are tossed six times. Each toss creates one line of the hexagram, built from bottom to top.

  • 6 (Old Yin ⚋ ◯): Changing broken line
  • 7 (Young Yang ⚊): Stable solid line
  • 8 (Young Yin ⚋): Stable broken line
  • 9 (Old Yang ⚊ ◯): Changing solid line

Changing Lines

When lines are “changing” (6 or 9), they transform into their opposite, creating a second “relating” hexagram that shows the future direction of your situation.

The primary hexagram describes your current situation. The relating hexagram reveals where things are heading.
