The planetary hours system divides each day and night into 12 unequal hours, each ruled by one of the 7 classical planets. The first hour of each day is ruled by the planet that gives the day its name (Sunday = Sun, Monday = Moon, etc.). Activities aligned with the current planetary hour ruler are said to be more favorable.
