Seven of Wands
Upright Meaning
A figure stands on a hilltop, wand raised, defending against six wands attacking from below. One shoe is different from the other — they were caught off guard but are fighting anyway. This card follows the Six: after public success comes the challenge of defending your position. Everyone wants what you have. The Seven of Wands asks whether you have the stamina to protect what you've built. The advantage is yours — you hold the high ground — but the pressure is relentless.
Reversed Meaning
Reversed, the Seven of Wands signals exhaustion from constant defense, or a decision to stop fighting. Sometimes this is wisdom — not every hill is worth dying on. But sometimes it's surrender out of fatigue rather than choice. Consider whether you're giving up something worth keeping because the effort of holding it has worn you down.
