Other Important Stars

Spica (~24 Libra): One of the most fortunate stars, associated with brilliance and gifts that seem to come from nowhere.

Algol (~26 Taurus): The most feared star, associated with intense transformation. Represents the head of Medusa in Perseus. Can indicate extraordinary passion and the capacity to face what others cannot.

Sirius (~14 Cancer): The brightest star in the sky, bestowing ambition and fame. Central to Egyptian astrology.

Vega (~15 Capricorn): Grants charm, artistic talent, and social magnetism.

How to Use Fixed Stars

Fixed stars are used when they conjoin a planet or angle within a tight orb, usually 1-2 degrees. Wider orbs used for planetary aspects do not apply. When a fixed star conjoins a natal planet, it amplifies that planet's expression with the star's specific qualities.

Learning the fixed stars connects modern astrologers to the oldest roots of the tradition. Start with the Royal Stars and let the sky teach you what textbooks cannot.
