Seven of Swords
Upright Meaning
A figure sneaks away from a military camp carrying five swords, leaving two behind. They look over their shoulder with a sly expression. The Seven of Swords is the card of cunning — sometimes necessary strategy, sometimes outright deception. Someone is taking what isn't theirs, or using cleverness where honesty would serve better. The question is always: are you the one sneaking, or the camp being robbed? And either way, notice that the thief couldn't carry all seven. The plan has holes.
Reversed Meaning
Reversed, the Seven of Swords indicates deception coming to light. The thief is caught, the secret is revealed, the clever plan unravels. This can be a relief — finally the truth is out — or a reckoning. If you've been the one deceiving, the reversed Seven says it's time to come clean before you're exposed.
